"A Quiet Thought"
Across I walked
the wind swept vale.
The silent fog
all but prevailed.
With tender kiss
dew lapped my feet
and quiet whispers,
the wind did entreat.
Alone I sat
amid the trees,
and thought of love
on bended knees.
A pool of water
quite still and deep,
did catch a tear
as I did weep.
As ripples outward
did grow and shift,
a glowing sight
my soul did lift.
The eyes of glass,
and sparkling light.
A crown of gold
my hearts delight.
The aspect right,
the image clear,
a person who
I longed to near.
With opened eyes
I looked anew
Realizing how dearly, my love,
I longed for you.
